Key Stage 2 Contextual Statement & Data Overview (2025–2026)

At our school, we evaluate pupil progress and attainment through a holistic lens, taking into full account the specific demographic composition and mobility of each cohort. The Key Stage 2 performance outcomes for the 2025–2026 academic year reflect a uniquely complex cohort profile:

Cohort Overview & Demographics

  • Special Educational Needs (SEN): 52% of the cohort were identified with Special Educational Needs, requiring targeted support and adapted provision throughout their Key Stage 2 journey.
  • Socioeconomic Advantage: 59% of pupils were eligible for Pupil Premium funding (Disadvantaged). Among this group, 31% achieved the Expected Standard (EXS+) combined in Reading, Writing, and Mathematics.

High Pupil Mobility & Complex Pathways

A significant proportion of this cohort experienced interrupted or non-standard educational pathways prior to taking their Key Stage 2 assessments:

  • Mid-Phase Mobility: 19% of the cohort joined our school mid-way through Key Stage 2, and 26% joined after the start of Year 2. Integrating pupils with varied educational backgrounds late in their primary career presents distinct academic and baseline challenges.
  • Alternative & Complex Provision: The cohort included pupils managing severe behavioral and social-emotional needs.

Our Commitment to Every Child

While headline attainment percentages do not capture the full picture of this cohort’s individual journeys, our dedicated staff team provided extensive tailored interventions, nurture, and academic support to ensure every pupil made meaningful personal progress from their respective starting points. We remain committed to raising standards and supporting every child, regardless of baseline or background.
